I am constantly running.

On my own two feet.

Through my thoughts.

Away from regrets.

Towards all I strive to be.

Running has not only been an integral part of my life for as long as I remember, but I truly believe it has become my life. My anchor.

Whether I was breaking records in high school or simply using it as a tool to ease my way back into health after injury, not a day has gone by where I don’t think about it and all it has done for me.

It is both my best friend and my worst enemy, but no matter the agony I have sustained from pushing myself to the limit of tears and torture, I cannot name you one run that I have ever regretted going on.

Hop, limp, walk, jog, trot, run, sprint… we are all runners at the end of the day. Bringing me friendship, sanity, success, happiness, serenity, the best memories possible, and every other emotion under the sun, I have no doubt in my mind that this is the number one sport that serves as the base of all others and can unite people and athletes from all over the world under all races and characteristics of the sun.

I don’t ever want to see a day where I won’t be lacing up.

So what are you waiting for?
